Bio

Maurice (Moe) Muise has a wide diversity of experience and service: in the military; in the business world; and, through a deep involvement in his local community. He is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology. In addition he has undertaken executive level studies at St Mary’s University, Dalhousie University and the Harvard Business School.

Moe served in the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), and the Naval Reserve, from 1966 to 1972 which included time in HMC Ships Margaree, Ottawa, Chaudiere, Restigouche and Annapolis. While in Restigouche he participated in the 1970 deployment of the ship to Europe for a six month tour as the flagship of the NATO Standing Naval Force (STANAVFORLANT).  This was the first time a Canadian Commodore had commanded the then recently formed Force, which at times comprised as many as nine ships from seven NATO countries. The role was to demonstrate Alliance solidarity during the height of the Cold War and further exercise and improve inter-operability among NATO Naval Forces.

In 1970, Moe successfully completed the exacting and physically demanding Ship’s Diver Course. Following his honorable release from the Navy in 1972, he took the initiative to set his own course and enter the world of business.

Over the course of his successful business career, Moe twice established and operated robust enterprises which he later sold to others as thriving concerns. After sixteen years as a business owner he determined that, from a personal and professional viewpoint, it was time to move into a role where he could bring his knowledge and skills to bear in assisting other proprietors in making sound decisions as a Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor. Since 1998 Moe has established himself as a trusted counsellor in advising and consulting with business owners on sound exit strategies throughout the Maritime Provinces. He enjoys an enviable reputation within the business community as a knowledgeable, experienced and trusted M&A Transaction Advisor .

Moe is a member of the Canadian Naval Divers Association, Veterans UN-NATO (Nova Scotia) Group, Veterans of Canada and the Royal Canadian Legion.
